Minimum Qualifications

You must have either a high school diploma or GED and one of the following:

  • 30 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited college and a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Two years full-time military experience with an honorable discharge or expected honorable discharge.
  • Two years of full-time law enforcement experience. This could include employment as a sworn officer, a detention officer or in public safety communications.


You must be a U.S. citizen at the time of your application.


You must be 21 years old at time of the entrance exam. There are no maximum age limitations.

Health & Physical

  • Vision must be correctable to 20 / 20 with normal color vision.
  • Pass hearing test.
  • Pass a physical examination and drug screen.
