The McKinney Senior Recreation Center's (SRC) mission is to provide life enrichment for individuals 50 years of age and over through opportunities that promote health, happiness and peace of mind in a safe, social and interactive environment. 

Sponsors have the opportunity to promote their business, knowledge and services while building relationships with our members.

Party Table

Celebrate holidays and special occasions with SRC members! Provide a festive atmosphere for members as they enter the lobby during this sponsorship opportunity.

Permitted Activities:

  • Share brief information about business and services
  • Distribution of promotional materials, including flyers, pamphlets, and business cards
  • Small tabletop signs
  • Customer-initiated appointments or meetings handled outside of SRC

Prohibited Activities:

  • Solicitation activities
  • Large display signs that sit on the floor
  • Collection of personal information (name, address, contact info, age, etc.)
  • Cooking or baking on-site
  • Sharing of the table space with other businesses, associates, or affiliated locations. If your business has affiliated locations, only one location may be represented at each Party Table event.

Sponsor Responsibilities:

  • Create a celebratory environment and focus on recognizing and celebrating the holiday or special occasion
  • Store-bought, individually packaged refreshments. Sponsors are required to wear gloves while serving food and drink items.
  • Only 1 employee in attendance to represent the business
  • Maximum duration of one-hour events. Sponsor may arrive 15 minutes in advance to set up the table.
  • Themed decorations, setup and takedown of decorations
  • Disposable goods for serving refreshments (i.e., cups, plates, napkins, forks, spoons, knives, etc.)
  • Tablecloth and table decorations
  • Serving utensils (i.e., tongs, knives, serving forks / spoons, etc.)
  • Serving platters / bowls
  • Drink dispensers or ice containers
  • Music CD with music appropriate for the occasion (or you may borrow one of ours if available)

Facility will Provide:

  • One 6’ table & chairs
  • Ice machine and utility carts are available

Sponsors who use the Party Table for the purpose of promoting their services, engaging in solicitation activities, or failing to provide an event that focuses on recognizing and celebrating the holiday or special occasion will not be invited to host future Party Tables.

Information Booth Sponsorship Opportunity

Information Booths are two-hour marketing opportunities on Friday mornings from 9 - 11 a.m. Based on availability and appropriateness, a registered business or organization may reserve an Information Booth (one or two 6’ tables) to promote its business as it benefits the senior population. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and must be approved in advance. No refunds will be issued.

Fees

  • Non-Profit, McKinney-Based Business ($25 per table)
  • Non-Profit, Non-McKinney-Based Business ($50 per table)
  • For-Profit, McKinney-Based Business ($100 per table)
  • For-Profit, Non-McKinney-Based Business ($200 per table)

Information Booth Sponsorship Policies:

Businesses may arrive fifteen minutes prior to the start of their allotted time to set up their Information Booth. The 6’ table will be set up prior to the start of the Information Booth.

  • Electric outlets are available for Information Booths. Businesses must provide their own power strips and extension cords.
  • The business must provide its own supplies for the booth, including tablecloths.
  • Information booths are tentatively scheduled until receipt of payment. Upon payment confirmation, Information Booths will be firmly booked and the requested day will be reserved. No refunds will be issued.
  • Businesses may provide marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, pamphlets, business cards, etc., to be distributed to members. Under no circumstances should monetary exchanges happen during the Information Booth. Any interaction that requires monetary transactions cannot take place at the SRC.
  • Businesses may provide tabletop signs, large display signs, and displays that sit on the floor during their Information Booth.
  • No cooking/baking will be allowed. All refreshments must be store-bought, prepackaged in original packaging, and single serving. Sponsors are required to wear gloves while serving.
  • All appointments must be handled and conducted outside of the SRC. The member must initiate any appointments or meetings, not the sponsor. Sponsors may collect personal information from the members, such as name, address, age, email address, etc., if the member willingly chooses to provide such information.
  • Information Booths cannot be shared. Sponsors may not invite other businesses, associates, affiliated locations, etc. to share the Information Booth events. If you have affiliated locations, only one location may be represented at each Information Booth event.
  • Do not tape the walls.

Program and Event Sponsorship Opportunities

Become a part of programs and events at the SRC! A wide variety of passive and active programs are available to members year-round. 

Sponsor one of the following events: 

Monthly Billiards Tournaments

The McKinney Senior Recreation Center hosts a bi-monthly pool tournament for members. Each tournament is held on the first and third Tuesday of the month and is open to 24 players. The recreation hall is filled with tournament players and spectators during the tournament play.

Sponsorship Information

  • $20 gift card for 1st place prize
  • $15 gift card for 2nd place prize
  • $10 gift card for 3rd place prize
  • Lunch and soft drinks for 24 tournament players

Sponsorship Benefits

  • Corporate logo printed and  / or business name included in MSRC seasonal activity guide (printed and online).
  • Company brochures, business cards, and other promotional information available to all participants and spectators during tournament.
  • Opportunity to introduce yourself and your business and give a short description of services / products you offer at the beginning of each tournament. Feel free to stay to watch the tournament with the members!

Treasure Bingo Prizes

The SRC offers a Treasure Bingo program for members every Monday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Winners of each round select their prize from a variety of donated prizes and foods. Bingo prizes may be dropped off at the front desk and staff will fill out a donation slip upon request.

Sponsorship Information

  • Up to 10 items per drop off consisting of gift bags, mugs, cups or other containers filled with candy, tea, or instant coffee packets, popcorn packets, promotional items, snack foods, playing cards or card games, domino sets, small household items, blankets, or other promotional items.

Sponsorship Benefits

  • Flyers, business cards, labels, or other printed marketing materials may be attached to donated bingo prizes
  • The Treasure Bingo program has a weekly attendance of approximately 35 - 40 members

Cash Bingo Prizes

The SRC offers a Cash Bingo program for members every Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. and on the last Thursday of the month from 6 - 7 p.m. Winners who claim a bingo are rewarded with a small cash prize determined by sponsors.

Sponsorship Information

  • Up to ten $5 gift cards and three $10 gift cards from Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc.
  • This opportunity is only available once per month.

Sponsorship Benefits

  • Flyers, business cards, labels, or other printed marketing materials may be attached to donated bingo prizes
  • A business staff member may attend the bingo games and hand out the gift cards to the winners, however, business services are not permitted to be solicited during the games

Coffee Area Healthy Snacks

The SRC has an area that provides refreshments for the members when available. Located next to the coffee station, members enjoy this popular area daily. Healthy snacks may be delivered to the front desk at any time; no pre-arrangements are necessary. A donation slip can be filled out upon request.

Sponsorship Information

  • Provide store-bought, individually wrapped in original packaging snack items like breakfast bars, fruit bars, granola bars, nuts, chips, trail mix, fruit cups, prepacked vegetables or pastries for the snack area. All snacks must be prepacked, store-bought, and single-serving.

Sponsorship Benefits

  • Flyers, business cards, labels, or other printed marketing materials may be attached to individually wrapped snacks
  • A flyer displaying the corporate logo and business information can be provided to post in the healthy snack area

Fresh Flowers

Members enjoy seeing fresh flowers at the front desk and the opportunity to take home fresh flowers or small bouquets to their homes. Flowers should be prepared in advance and arranged in a vase with water and ready to display.

Sponsorship Information

  • Bring a large bouquet of fresh flowers to display at the front desk
  • Provide individual fresh flowers or small bouquets of flowers for the members to take home

Sponsorship Benefits

  • A flyer displaying the corporate logo and business information can be provided to post next to the large bouquet on display
  • Business cards or mini-flyers attached to all single flowers or small bouquets

Special Event Sponsorship

Members enjoy various monthly and annual special events. These events are centered around a holiday, special occasion, or theme that is outside of the regularly scheduled programming. Sponsors are welcome to provide supplies for special events. If you are interested in being a sponsor for a special event, please inquire with staff about the upcoming events and ways to be involved.

Sponsorship Information

  • Provide various supplies for special events, including but not limited to prizes, such as gift cards, food, drinks, paper products or other various services

Sponsorship Benefits

  • Corporate logo printed and  / or business name included in MSRC seasonal activity guide (printed and online).
  • Corporate logo displayed on all event marketing including flyers and posters the day of the event.
  • Staff members are able to attend the special event and interact with the members of the center, however, they are not permitted to solicit services
